In charge of the hull and mooring system of the FPU package covering all aspects related to engineering, procurement, construction till final commissioning throughout all project phases of the North Platte Field Development.

Management:

  • Within the FPU package, provide project management and leadership for all activities related to FPU hull and mooring system covering all aspects in terms of engineering, procurement, construction till commissioning and hand over to field operation team for all project phases from FEED, through tendering major contracts and into execution
  • Monitor and manage all facets of work within FPU Package related to hull and mooring to ensure that schedule, cost, technical, quality and HSES requirements are, as a minimum, met or improved upon
  • Establish the needs in terms of organization for Hull & Mooring activities to ensure that adequate resources are mobilized to achieve project objectives within schedule
  • Provide an accurately defined schedule for all phases of hull and mooring activities and ensure up to date
  • Provide reporting function towards FPU Package Manager for all hull and mooring work activities
  • Define, monitor and manage work tasks with external consultants and contractors as required
  • Ensure implementation of Project 'digital' requirements for the Hull and Mooring activities and that every engineering and procurement activity is developed with emphasis on the 'digital' aspect

Technical:

  • Supervise and control the FPU hull FEED and later detailed engineering activities by timely review of documentation issued by contractor, confirmation of compliance with Project Specifications and Procedures, TOTAL General Specifications, international norms & standards with the objective to ensure respect of schedule, costs, quality and safety. Raise necessary comments and highlight unsafe design, deviations, unacceptable design choices, constructability issues
  • Supervise and control all activities related to the Classification and CVA of the FPU and compliance with regulatory requirements in particular with BSEE and USCG
  • Ensure daily liaison with contractor and manage their performance with regards to contract requirements
  • Identify, implement and manage all necessary FPU hull and mooring engineering studies
  • Review hull and mooring engineering work in detail for complex issues which may jeopardize the cost or schedule of the Project
  • Follow up equipment testing activities performed by contractor
  • Ensure that Hull construction activities are performed in line with engineering documents and project specifications
  • In charge of the engineering of the Topside integration operation as well as the preparation and supervision of the operation at the Yard
  • Work closely with the Installation Lead for all aspects related to pre-service phases of the FPU such as load-out, float on, float-off, dry transportation, wet tow and mooring hook-up on site


Tendering phase:

  • Prepare and draft all necessary contracts or ITT documents related to hull and mooring parts
  • Actively participate in the clarifications (technical, contractual & commercial) and negotiation with Tenderers for hull and mooring related activities in the contract(s) to select the associated Contractor
  • Actively participate in the evaluation and analysis of the different offers (technical, contractual & commercial) issued from the Tenderers during tender phase

HSSE

  • Provide leadership within FPU Package for all HSSE performance and compliance including monitoring of performance, implementation of corrective measures for performance issues and proactive implementation of activities to improve upon good performance for all activities related to hull and mooring

Quality

  • Provide effective leadership in quality performance and compliance within the Hull and Mooring related activities.
  • Ensure that all Hull and mooring work activities are performed in compliance with high regard to Quality Assurance and Control.
  • Anticipate, organize and implement an appropriate QA/QC plan for all procurement and construction activities linked to the Hull and mooring system

Required Qualifications

  • Masters in engineering and hold an internationally recognized professional engineer status
    15+ years roles as naval architect and hull and mooring lead, proven track record in similar positions with 10 years in senior technical roles
  • Semi-Submersible Platform Hull and Mooring Lead- expert
  • Naval architecture and mooring design, fabrication and installation - expert
  • Deepwater developments - proficient
  • Safe working practice on offshore construction projects
  • Proficient organizational ability and commitment to meeting deadlines
