Trading Meteorologist / Spain

The client is looking for a staff Trading Meteorologist for Madrid, Spain. Must speak Spanish.

The successful candidate will work within Cepsa Gas and Power and support Power and Gas Traders with as follows.

• Communicate the latest/overnight developments before the power and gas market opens.

• Give an assessment on which weather model to trust most in a given situation.
• Communicate confidence in the weather model runs and discuss the likelihood of alternative scenarios.

• Monitor and update forecast throughout and brief the Power and Gas Trades of relevant developments during the day as-and-when required.
• Support business planning by alerting to weather events that may impact operations, such as storms or tropical systems.
