Contract: Structural Engineer / Qatar

The client, an Oil and Gas Operator in Qatar, currently has an opening for a Structural Engineer to act as the technical link and support service for the following:

From receipt of a structural inspection /CSCC findings
Develop / Engineer a STRUCTURAL solution [individually or with 3rd party consultant]
Liaise with EC/ENG and FOPS maintenance and CSCC/ campaign teams to integrate solution to execution plan and ensure completion offshore, send as-built data to E&C for revision control of master data
Develop scope of work for transferring rectification project to an RFM class 1 for execution by E&C
Develop and track FFS requests [based on inspection finding reports and transmit to E&C for validation
Develop and track temporary repairs using FFS system
Act as STR focal for lifting plan STR integrity assessment - assign to E&C as appropriate; [ track and plan all scopes where possible]

Accountabilities
Ensure all facets of Structural Engineering under area of responsibility; for all new developments / brownfield modifications and lifetime extensions are technically compliant, safely and timely completed in accordance with International Standards, policies, process, standards and guidelines.
Secure Cost efficiency and develop savings in budgeting and schedule for projects that are executed within E&C.
Maintain a high level of professional operational, technical design and safety knowledge.
Provide advice in the field of Structural Engineering to the wider community.

Minimum Qualification
Bachelor's in civil / Structural Engineering
Experience in offshore Structural Engineering
Good sense of team spirit, peer leadership, strong interpersonal / soft communication skills
Fluent in English - Verbal and written
