Position Summary & Responsibilities:
As part of the Technical Publications team, the Senior Technical Writer will design, develop format, implement and manage technical writing and content creation, to meet the demands for the production of labeling documents, manuals, testing procedures and operational specifications, including the creation and maintenance of documentation and illustration for hardware and software user's guides, service and programming manuals and electronic media including on-line help. Manages revisions of technical documentation and delivery of global labeling and content for Life Sciences hardware, software, and reagent products.

This position can either be based in Miami, FL or Indianapolis, IN.

The ideal candidate will be able to gather requirements for, plan, and implement technologies supporting technical publications production activities. This person will effectively interpret detailed information and present it in the appropriate manner, drive projects from scheduling and planning, content development and management, and draft reviews through final edit, approval, and release.

* Bachelor's degree and 5+ years' experience.
* Background in the Life Sciences/Medical Device industry is a plus.
* Experience in managing translation projects and content management systems are a plus.
* Strong troubleshooting skills in XML, DITA, and localization.

Software/Application Skills:
* Must have experience in Adobe FrameMaker 9.x.x or above.
* Structured FrameMaker experience is a plus. (Must provide a written sample in Adobe FrameMaker)
* Must have advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office - Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
