Role Accountabilities:

Responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of the Construction Surveillance Program, and for ensuring the effective implementation of Contractor’s Quality Management System for brownfield construction activities.
Providing continual communication, coordination and advice to the Onshore Construction Team on construction quality issues and the quality performance of the EPCOL Contractor, Subcontractors and Vendors.
Implementing quality control over welding processes including establishment of welding procedure qualifications, qualification of welders, control of welding consumables, surveillance of welding & NDE activity, monitoring welding KPIs and identifying corrective action to remedy poor performance
Assigning and managing inspection resources using approved Site Inspection Services (SIS) agencies to conduct surveillance inspections at fabrication yards and construction worksites
Conducting Flawless Quality training programs in conjunction with Contractor to eliminate common defects
Conducting regular site walk-throughs with fabrication and construction management team to highlight quality and safety issues and identify areas for improvement
Ensure that inspection records are maintained in a database that is aligned with completions management system to ensure a smooth handover to commissioning

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor Degree in Engineering or equivalent
Additional quality, welding or NDE inspection related qualifications
Broad experience in execution of major oil & gas projects, including involvement in the construction of onshore construction facilities in a brownfield environment
Good experience in a supervisory capacity of quality or inspection
Experience working in the Middle East, experience in Qatar is beneficial
Ability to manage development and implementation of Projects Managements Systems adapted to Oil & Gas industry
Ability to interact with senior leaders and shareholders confidently
