Our valued client is seeking an HSE Technical Assistant for a 12-18 month contract in Calgary, AB. All candidates must be local as there is no LOA provided.

- Provides support to Technical Services Manager in managing operational needs.
- Support the Technical Services Manager in HSER/IT Technology and Digitization projects.
- Provides support to the Operational Excellence Process Advisors and as well as the broader HSER team as required.
- Responsible for weekly & monthly IMPACT and HSER Scorecard reporting, including distribution as requested.
- Manage the IMPACT business unit hierarchy, in coordination with other business groups including Operations, Wells, etc.
- Prepare IMPACT data analysis and summary reports as requested.
- Provide training to staff on the use and function of the IMS database.
- Maintain HSER SharePoint sites.
- Support and the key contact for HSER digital solutions such as electronic permit to work (ePTW), site access screening (SAS) tool, Pronto Forms, Workhum, Greenroad, Chemscpae, etc.
- Understand the regulatory framework in Alberta and be able to support Environmental & Regulatory specialists.
- Back-up support for HSER Administrative Assistant, as required.
- Provide SharePoint support to the broader HSER Team, as required.
- Prepare customized PowerPoint reports as requested by Technical Services Manager.
- Proactive in identifying opportunities for improvement or efficiency while recognizing broader business context and needs.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a global, multi-disciplinary team with superior problem solving and interpersonal skills.
- Must be flexible and able to adapt to changing work priorities, and deliver high quality, accurate work on time.
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
- Minimum two year technical or administrative diploma preferred.
- Minimum two years work experience in upstream oil and gas industry.
- Strong proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint.
- Strong data analysis skills; proficient in use of tools such as Excel, PowerBI, and Spotfire.
- Excellent verbal and written communications and presentation skills.
