Contract: Marine Operations Technician / Australia

Marine Operation Technicians 

Our Oil and Gas Operator client is currently recruiting for 2 x Marine Operation Technicians for an initial 6-month contract on a 3/3 roster.

This position will be responsible for providing operational and marine technical support for Marine and Cargo operations. Additionally, the position will be responsible for delivering marine related assurance activities in accordance with SDA Marine Assurance plan and Operations Guidelines in support of the Marine Assurance team.

The position is located offshore, primary focus shall be provision of operational Cargo and ballast support.

Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Radar watch and control,
• Mooring monitoring,
• Thruster and heading monitoring,
• Export tanker communications as directed from panel,
• Advice on optimum execution of ballast and cargo plan / cross checking and assurance of S&L panel operator actions,
• Advice on integrating loading computer to assure hull BM and Shearing forces are within max allowable limits and to plan,
• Advice on starting and stopping of ballast pumps,
• Manual gauging of tanks as required,
• Log keeping (Tank Temp / QOB / etc.) as directed from panel
• Loadmaster capacity were required

Whilst ashore tasks may include:

• Provide marine expertise and advice
• Ensures that provision of marine services and activities are in accordance with local legislation
• Drive for improvements to contribute to the ongoing enhancement of the efficiency & effectiveness of services
• Support the Logistics Department for management and delivery of all marine services request
