Looking for Technical/Process Safety Engineer for our client in Oman.
Qualification & Experience
Minimum fifteen (15) years of experience in production or engineering of oil and gas facilities, including a minimum of 10 years of experience in Technical Safety Engineering.
University graduate in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Fire Engineering, Safety Engineering, Physics Mathematics.
Responsibilities:
Manage the team and Services aspects of the Contract for all the provisions of Technical Safety Engineering Services in full accordance with Contract specifications.
Provide guidance on the appropriate risk mitigation measures required for Process Safety issues.
Manage safety engineering systems including fire / explosion protection systems, emergency facilities, and lifesaving equipment.
Disseminate knowledge and/or participation of industry/group led research or developments in the management of Process Safety hazards.
Contribute to maintenance and update of relevant COMPANY and CONTRACTOR technical safety engineering standards.
Provide guidance, development and lateral learning to other Technical Safety Engineers in Contractor organisation.
Lead and manage Technical Safety Engineering Contractor staff and specialist Sub- Contractors, including work planning and prioritisation, QA, and budgetary control.
Participate in Reviews and Audits in order to facilitate lateral learning and ensure gaps in the systems are addressed.
Execute Accountabilities and Responsibilities identified in the Decision Control and Authorities Framework (DCAF) Matrix of Accountabilities and Responsibilities
Facilitating hazard workshops for Process Safety hazards. These may include HAZID, Bow-Ties, ALARP, SIMOP’s, and Facility Layout and Sitting.
Developing ALARP demonstrations for Process Safety risks, Developing HSE Cases. SCE identification and Performance Standards preparation and Hazardous Area Classification, Fire Protection Engineering including:
