Quality Assurance Engineer - Contract - Based Aberdeen
Description:
Provide Quality Engineering support to the UK Subsea Services and Offshore business unit. Including Root Cause analysis activities, management of customer and internal non-conformances, as well as supporting customer/contract related Quality activities including creation of Quality and Inspection and Test Plans. Lead Continuous Improvement activities and management of lessons learned.
Responsibilities:
• Ensure active management of CIR (Customer Issue Resolution) and NPT (Non-Productive Time) cases in accordance with company procedures.
• Lead and support Continuous Improvement activities
• Support updates and revisions to region QMS to support continuous improvement
• Carry out Root Cause Analysis activities and identify effective corrective and preventative actions
• Support region audit programme
• As required support customer Quality Assurance activities, including creation and implementation of Quality and Inspection and Test Plan
• Ensure effective Lessons Learned sessions are held as appropriate and effective feedback loop into continuous improvement activities.
• Any other quality related activities as deemed necessary from time to time
• Comply and actively support company, Quality, HSE and Integrity policy
Qualifications/Requirements:
• HND in Business Management, Engineering or Data discipline or
• Equivalent experience in Quality Assurance or Process Improvement Roles
• Extensive experience of leading Continuous Improvement or Process Improvement Activities
• Understanding of Six Sigma &/or Lean methodologies
Desired Characteristics:
• Works effectively as part of team
• Works effectively cross functionally and across departments
• Extensive experience in Quality Assurance or Management roles
• Inquisitive nature and desire to continually improve
• Knowledge of Continuous Improvement and Root Cause Analysis techniques
