Contract: Sr. Quantity Surveyor / Qatar

TAX Free Job Opportunity for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to be based in Qatar by a leading operating oil and gas company has just been made available. 

Job Purpose

• To assist the Project Management Team and in particular the Construction Manager in the material control, tracking and documentation from supplier handover up to storage in Contractor’s premises and utilisation by Contractor.
• Control quantities measurement and documentation of earthworks, instrastructure works and any other works performed on re-measurable contract basis.
• To organize and coordinate the material follow-up.

Minimum Requirements  

Qualifications  

• Minimum High school level.
• Preferred: Diploma  in Civil Engineeing or land surveying
• Training and experience in quantities control and material management and storage.

Knowledge and/or Experience  

• 10+ years of experience in quantities survey on earthworks civil infrastructure works. Previous experience in the oil and gas industry is a plus.
• Hand-on experience with topographic surveys and site earthworks measurement.
• Previous experience and understanding of applied project controls in a re-measurable contract environment (mainly quantity and quality controls)
• Good interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on teamwork and the ability to communicate and interact within a PMT.
• Application and in-depth knowledge of project specifications and a working knowledge of Industry standards.

Technical and Business Skills

• A good proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Ability to communicate with Contractor’s team and obtain required information as requested by his supervisor/manager.
• Good mathematical skills
• Rigorous approach to documentation administration
• Computer literacy involving the regular use of professional office applications to prepare status of material.
