The client, who are an international Oil and Gas operator, are recruiting for a Local Project Manager to be based in Maputo, Africa on a 4 month initial contract basis. Rates negotiable.
Responsibilities
The Local Project Manager (affiliate User Project Manager) will be in charge of coordinating all the affiliate activities (dedicated resources + FTEs and potential sub-contractors that might be involved) with the support of the program Rollout Manager and the central teams across the different phases of the implementation project: Design, Acceptance, data gathering, training and prepare the move to production.

Coordination of the local project team involved (Lead / key users):
- Gap analysis: organize with SAP expert teams the necessary deep dive session on gaps identified and collect the rationales to support the requirement
- Drive the Change Management activities across the different phases of the project: organizational impact assessment, communication, End-user training organization.
- Data gathering & cleansing: Coordinates the local business teams activities under the responsibility of the affiliate such as data enrichment to cope to data standards, participate to data migration / data transfer strategy, define the corresponding data structure with the business leads /key users.
- Organize the Acceptance of the solution: mobilization of the key users, close follow-up of the activity within the planning agreed, organize the testing session logistic on-site.
- Strong involvement during Cut-over & Data reconciliation follow-up during the dry runs and production runs
- Organize the move to run locally (follow-up of the hypercare support, set-up the organization of SAP coordination, lead & key users)
Person Requirements
- Previous experience with the client
- Good understanding of EP Business specificities (contractual framework, field operations…)
- SAP / ERP knowledge (formal position of SAP coordinator role in affiliate organization or lead user)
- Good IT background on application area
- Strong interpersonal skills
