Working as a Senior Process Engineer within the Technical Projects Engineering team, the role shall ensure that process designs for Brownfield Projects for onshore/offshore facilities, including marine facilities, meet BU specifications and applicable Codes/Standards. The role will undertake, including assurance of such when developed by 3rd Parties, the following activities:
• Development of technical solutions, with a focus on optimizing value / outcomes during Phase 2
• Development, checking approval of a wide variety of discipline deliverables
• Development and checking of calculations / analyses / simulations
• Functional Review of MOCs
• Provision of technical expertise on discipline design principles
• Input to RFP/RFQs and review of technical bid packages
• Site technical support during execution/pre-commissioning and commissioning phases
• Stakeholder engagement
The role shall work closely with the Lead Process Engineer and interface with other disciplines to ensure design quality and successful outcomes, including interfacing with discipline SMEs and/or TAs to address complex issues or specification compliance queries.
This position requires technical and operational insight and experience to develop and implement required deliverables for handover from the Project to Operations. Must be able to work closely with the applicable Operations Team, project team, ABU FE teams to implement robust handover/acceptance process. Be able to leverage the client and industry best practices.
Position competencies and experience requirements:
• Minimum Qualifications: Engineering Degree.
• Minimum of 10 years relevant experience providing technical process engineering support of in a complex oil and gas operating environment, preferred.
• Strong experience, technically competent and experienced LNG, chemical plant or refinery Production / Process Engineers is essential.
• Familiarity in supporting Brownfield projects within the LNG industry is desirable.
• Experience in managing external engineering contractors to perform work and providing assurance of contractor’s work is desirable.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Familiarity with relevant Engineering Standards and Australian Standards is essential. Practical working knowledge of relevant Western Australian codes and standards
• Creative thinking and can-do mindset are required to develop solutions that are fit for purpose meeting MFO.
