Drafting Administrator

This role presents the opportunity for an experienced construction administrator to secure a position with one of the larger builders in Victoria. This role will involve providing administration support to the drafting department to improve the understanding and impact of standard documentation in order to improve the overall operational efficiencies and accurate output of the of the Production Drafting Department.

Tasks & Responsibilities
  • Upon receipt of Drafting Packs coordinate / provide accurate checking of information and preparation of the packs prior to Production Drafting being allocated the task.
  • Coordinate documentation uploaded to on On Base by Administrators, Tender Presenters and Sales Consultants to ensure all documentation is accurate, applicable and can be used to complete an accurate set of Drawings.
  • Regular and consistent communication with Administrators, Tender Presenters and Sales staff in all offices to assist in the resolution of issues raised by Drafting to ensure that all paperwork is completed and progressed in an effective and timely manner.
  • Coordinate Training with Administrators, Tender Presenters and Sales staff to increase the accuracy of documentation required to complete Drafting activities.
  • Working closely with Sales Consultants and Administrators, as required to assist them with documentation issues.
  • Coordinating workflow between drafting teams and engineers.
Skills & Competencies
  • Experience in Drafting or related duties at a construction company or firm
  • High level of Knowledge of building Contracts and Drafting Documentation.
  • Ability to attain computer literacy in Framework, On Base and Microsoft Office.
  • Planning, coordinating and time management abilities.
  • High level of professionalism and customer service.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong writing and communication skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to provide consistent direction in relation to expected quality of Documentation.
