The valued client is seeking a Maintenance Technician for a 6-month contract with the possibility of permanent employment to the right candidate.

As a Maitenance Technician you will troubleshoot, test, assemble, disassemble, and perform the visual inspection of mechanical assemblies. Whilst assisting in repairing and modifying non-conforming equipment, you will perform all test with minimal instruction. You will provide technical support across the business whilst complying with HS&E policies.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing pre-job checks and basic onsite maintenance to ensure safety and reliability of equipment
  • Assisting in incident investigations and troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment issues, Trouble shooting of Electrical and Mechanical Equipment’s
  • Picking materials, components, and end products to be delivered to production or for shipping
  • Performing SAP transaction for material movements
  • Ensuring operational alignment with planning and KPI's to optimize inventory and process improvements
  • Taking ownership of all activities within the Planning & Warehouse operations to ensure our products and services meet business and customer requirements

Qualifications:

  • One or more of the following:
    • Technical diploma
    • Minimum 1-year relevant industrial experience in electro-mechanical function
    • Minimum 1-year relevant industrial experience (airline, military, oilfield, automotive, electronic).
  • Basic computer skills.

Certifications/experience preferred but not required:

  • A/C certification
  • Electrical maintenance
  • Stationary Engineer
  • Some electrical experience on 3 PH480 and single PH 120v.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, assembly prints and parts lists and follow formal procedures and maintenance practices
  • Knowledge on hydraulic circuits and ability to troubleshoot faults. Ability to use of multimeters, megohmmeters, hi-pot testers and other basic instruments.
