Customs & Compliance Coordinator / Aberdeen

The client is currently recruiting for the position of Customs & Compliance Coordinator, based in Aberdeen.

Responsibilities:
* Manage the logistics general mailbox
* Oversee: customs import clearance, processes and export controls
* Track all goods coming into the warehouse and ensuring they've been customs cleared and correct customs status used.
* Supports management of relationships with the freight forwarders, reviews import/export files and periodically carries out self-verifications
* Liaise with freight forwarders to ensure Customs clearance KPI's and accuracy of declarations
* Checking & monitoring of Freight/courier invoices for payment ensuring accurate costing, charging to project where applicable
* Assist the business with its maintenance of Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) accreditation.
* Keeps abreast of regulatory changes and updates the key stakeholders
* Support with other ad hoc activities
