We are currently recruiting a Medical Information Professional on behalf of one of the Multinational Pharmaceutical Clients to work on a 6-month contract, with posibility to go permanent.
Reporting to the Senior Medical Information Manager, with appropriate training, you will be responsible for providing a high quality Medical Information Enquiry service to patients and Healthcare professionals as well as internal support to Medical Affairs, Sales and Marketing departments across UK and Ireland.
The role would currently be 2 x days in Harlow office and 3 days WFH.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Providing a high quality medical information enquiry handling service by responding to medical queries on products and devices across our vast portfolio
- Document the enquiry and response accurately and completely within the medical information enquiry database Lifesphere Medical Information (LSMI)
- Recognise adverse events and product complaints, handling and reporting these in strict compliance as per company's SOPs/WIs
- Understand and manage the customer expectations in providing information within agreed deadlines, ensuring that information provided conforms to the ABPI Code of Practice
- Creating and maintaining product standard letters, FAQs, Data on File (DOF) and departmental databases
- Keep up to date and comply with relevant company SOPs and WIs, regulations and code of practices
- Involvement in administration and projects within the medical department as required

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Excellent communication skills, ideally in a customer facing role, customer services background
- Excellent written skills
- Good understanding of general science terms
- Ideally Life Science Degree
- Advantage if the candidate has worked in a hospital setting or pharmacy
- Working/communicating with patients so the candidate needs to understand medical terms, interpret complex medical terms to translate to a patient
- Ability to identify adverse events
- Good organizational skills important
