We are looking for a Drilling Engineer.
This is a residential role in Sharjah, UAE.
The role consists of being responsible for the engineering content of the company's well project. Evaluating future prospects from a drilling & completions perspective. Develop design and programs aimed at efficient operations and long-term integrity. Accountable for planning and engineering of well projects, such as re-entry of existing wells, integrity assessments, evaluation of wells and drilling options on possible future assets etc. Preparing specifications for well related equipment and services in accordance with company and industry standards. Working closely with the completions, well testing and well integrity engineers to ensure operational integrity, feasibility and efficiency of the final programs. Accountable for delivery of the End of Well Report (EOWR). Supporting the Drilling Superintendents and Supervisors and ensure all programs are implemented according to plans in a safe and efficient manner. Reviewing equipment planning with Drilling Supervisors and Material & Logistics Coordinators to ensure timely equipment arrivals and backloading.

Successful candidates will need the following:
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience in drilling engineering roles.
- Experience with HPHT wells and H2S preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum or Mechanical Engineering.
- IWCF or IADC Well Control certificate.
- Extensive experience in well design and drilling operations (engineering, technology, equipment, materials)
- Expertise in well integrity issues
- Excellent computer skills (Tubular design, hydraulics, torque & drag, MS Office Suite)
