We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join our team of Engineers based in Aberdeen, UK.
In this position, you will provide technical support to the Repair & Remanufacturing (R&R) teams and the Field Service team for inspection and recertification activities More specifically, you will
- Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product/program requirements. In this role, design activities typically involve maintaining design files to reflect upgrades and modifications applied to customer-owned equipment during services projects
- Work directly with customers and ensure effective communication of progress and results
- Provide technical support for both internal and external customers on issues related to R&R
- Develop and assist in creating global inspection and repair procedures
- Collaborate with other functions such as manufacturing, sourcing, field service and project management to solve problems
- Work non-standard hours in support of rig down situations
- Drive continuous improvement of processes, tools, and standards
- Assess inspection report findings following inspection of Customer Owned Equipment (COE), on-site and off-site, for Drill-through or BOP equipment and recertification activities
- Provide timely communications on significant issues or developments
- Develop and deploy technical solutions, including customer testing
- Ability to travel to offshore and onshore locations, including overseas, for customer support
