Want to work for a multidisciplinary design firm delivering architecture, interior design, urban design and strategic services across Australia and the world? The client is on the hunt for a talented senior interior designer to join their award winning architectural and interiors team.
This is a project lead position requiring exceptional design, documentation, delivery and leadership skills. The successful candidate will have 7+ years’ experience and ideally prior experience within a recognised firm.
They will join a passionate creative team working on a broad range of interesting projects including residential, hospitality, workplace and commercial projects.
Responsibilities
Essential Skills and Experience

Responsibilities
- Develop projects from concept
- Work through the preliminary planning, schematic design and design development stages
- Identify, investigate and communicate the strengths and limitations of the design
- Identify and resolve technical design issues
- Liaise with/coordinate consultants
- Develop, maintain and communicate design and architectural standards
- Project planning, organisation, time management and/or production of the documentation
- Attend site inspections as required and respond to RFIs and review shop drawings
- General project administration duties as necessary
- Report to director(s) as necessary to advise on progress
- Act as a mentor for junior staff members
- Managing and communicating project resource requirements
- Develop a strong relationship with our client base where appropriate
- Attend and present at client meetings where appropriate
Essential Skills and Experience
- Relevant qualification in Interior Design or Architecture
- Revit skills is highly encouraged
- An acute aesthetic sense
- Ability to resolve design issues creatively with speed and precision
- Comprehensive knowledge, understanding and experience of building and construction sequences
