Contract: Financial Analyst / South East London

Financial Analyst – London (Maternity cover)

The client a major Oil and Gas Operations company are looking to add a Financial Analyst to their team working from their London offices (EC2R) on an 18 month’s temporary contract and will be paid on a PAYE basis. The client is open to various expeirnece levels in this role, a degree and background in Finance is required. 

You would be part of the Europe Commercial Finance Team, and responsible for derivatives accounting, statutory accounts preparation, tax returns, and many other Finance tasks.  Key responsibilities

• Ensure timely and professional processing, coordination, and execution of Gas trade confirmations
• Liaison with counterparties to resolve trade confirmation differences
• Responsible for monthly gas invoicing and settlements process
• Issue monthly cashflow to Treasury
• Prepare month-end journal entries for input into SAP
• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Prepare monthly controllable cost accruals
• Regulatory trade reporting reconciliations for EMIR and REMIT
• Responsible for daily Gas Trading Authority Limitations Monitoring control process

• across Commercial group at various levels
• Accounting / Business / Economics related degree.
• Proficiency in utilizing MS Excel and other Office 365 software.
• Experience in using SAP
