Senior Legal Counsel / London

We are looking for a Senior Legal Counsel.

This is a residential role in London.
The role is for a UK qualified Lawyer with experience in the Oil and Gas and ideally in the E&P sector. Senior Legal Counsel will have autonomy on projects and will need to take lead from A to Z in legal processes that are assigned to him/her.

The role consists:

• Providing advice on a wide range of legal matters affecting the business operations, including in connection with a variety of corporate, commercial and M&A transactions.
• Working closely with the Group General Counsel and other members of our international legal team to support business growth and operations.
• Supporting key internal stakeholders in connection with all-related legal matters.
• Liaising with external lawyers and other advisers to ensure business objectives are met efficiently and comprehensively.

Successful candidates will need the following:

• Extensive UK post-qualification experience in private practice and/or in-house in a corporate/transactional and/or energy environment;
• Minimum of 5 years PQE;
• Experience of working on large international projects is essential;
• Previous in-house experience in the industry is desirable but not essential;
• Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills;
• Positive, independent and proactive approach; commercially-focused, practical;
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment;
• Strong team-work skills;
• Helpful, flexible and adaptable to evolving business needs.
