Senior Interior Designer - Contract
An urgent job opportunity has emerged to work for Brisbane’s leading architectural firm. The client works on residential and commercial projects. They are on the lookout for a Senior Interior Designer to take the lead on current projects. You will also be heavily involved with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the success of each Design project. You’ll be part of a small but mighty team.

They are on the lookout for a Senior Interior Designer to take the lead on current projects. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Leading the creation of a project, pitching for the project, and then leading a project through execution alongside the Director and Design team.
- Manage the design process ensuring designs are accurate and precise and in line with client objectives.
- Self-manage projects, client commitments, and obligations
- Meeting with clients and other tradespeople such as architects or builders and consultants to discuss the needs of the client
- Develop designs that suit both the client and the characteristics of a building or space
- Manage the preparation of all documentation for all stages of the project - concept design, tender, construction
- Using design software to create floor plans, 3D models, visuals, and presentation submissions
- Ensure all designs proposed are compliant and work towards ‘best practice’
Qualifications & experience
- Senior Interior Designer with at least 6+ years’ experience
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Sketchup, and Adobe Creative Suite
- Experience in residential and commercial projects
- Excellent communication skills
- 1 to 3-month contract work
- Great opportunity for freelancers
- Experience in all aspects of the project – concept design/documentation/ on-site collaboration with trade
- Excellent time management and organization skills
- Creativity, imagination, and artistic flair
- Strong communication and listening skills
- Good colour sense and an eye for detail
- Excellent problem-solving skills
