The Quality Assurance Specialist ensures the effective implementation of the Project and Quality Management Systems (QMS) as applied to the Engineering, Procurement and Construction/Installation oversight of the EPC Contractor at Home Office (HO) and provides advice to the Quality Head during execution of work. Is responsible for auditing the EPC Contractor QMS performance as a participative member in the Engineering Surveillance Plan and monitors Contractors overall Engineering and Procurement quality performance. The Quality Assurance Specialist is further responsible for establishing and reporting quality key performance indicators with EPC Contractor and analyzing poor trends from metrics, audits and assessments requiring recovery measures. Establishes audit/surveillance criteria and schedules and, under the direction of the Quality Lead and, participates in major Vendor/Sub-Vendor audits.
 
  • Requires the ability to effectively communicate quality matters at project level and Senior Management.
  • Persuasive man-management attributes are essential across all levels of the organization with an ability to establish and maintain open and responsive relationships.
  • Applies extensive industry-based experience and knowledge to promote and establish existing systems, processes and procedures within a structured quality framework.
  • Manages the implementation of PMT Quality solutions in a timely and cost-effective manner that compliments safety, cost and schedule.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor or Associates degree in Engineering or Science preferred
  • Solid experience associated with Quality Assurance executing Major projects including Major fabrication and installation of offshore assets
  • Good experience working in the Middle east with prior experience of executing projects for the state of Qatar.
  • Ability to manage development and implementation of Projects Managements Systems adapted to Oil & Gas industry.
  • Ability to interact with senior leader in QG, and shareholders confidently.
  • Requires strong analytical, organisational and planning skills
