Citizen of the Republic of Kazakhstan
Higher Engineering degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
Minimum of 10 -15 years’ experience in Engineering Contractor Organizations
Excellent spoken and written English and Russian language skills required, Kazakh language skills highly desirable. Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
Ability to work with a high level of independence with minimum guidance from supervisor and the ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team is required. Required to be proactive - knows or anticipates what is required, takes action, gathers information, and engages team members, subject matter experts and stakeholders. Leads and participates in decision making. Makes own thinking clear and visible and encourages others to give their thoughts and opinions.
Demonstrate general understanding of company/general project management and execution processes with ability to work closely with project engineers and managers, and monitor project schedules, budgets, and manpower planning as required.
Advanced knowledge of RoK Civil/Structural Engineering Standards and Building codes, Engineering standards, Construction methods and materials, and ability to easily read and understand technical documents and drawings.
Demonstrated ability to take responsibility for multiple projects and studies and prioritize work depending on business needs. Manage multiple parallel tasks with competing deadlines.
Demonstrated ability to work in a team and provide leadership, guidance, direction and advice to project teams. Organize and lead effective meetings, solve problems, develop and execute recommendations, and drive stakeholder alignment.
Demonstrated ability to collect, analyze, summarize, and structure information and data with ability to develop alternative solutions, perform decision analysis, present recommendations, and get stakeholders to align and approve.
Ability to perform structural design analysis, foundation analysis, load analysis etc. for piping systems, buildings, roads etc.
Proficient user of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio Teams); working knowledge of CAD and 2D/3D modelling software e.g. AutoCAD, MicroStation etc.
Business trips to Tengiz site will be required.
The Field Facilities (FF) Civil/Structural Engineer provides Civil/Structural engineering leadership, direction, guidance, support and engineering oversight for small and mid-sized Field Facilities greenfield, brownfield and specialty projects in conceptual, FEED and detailed engineering; provides guidance and support to engineering contractor teams including Project, Process, Piping, I&C, Civil/Structural etc. to develop and produce specification compliant quality engineering deliverables and conduct required reviews and work processes. Interface with multiple company teams including Operations, Construction, Maintenance & Reliability, Project Execution etc. to coordinate project activities and ensure alignment.
Gives guidance, advice, and direction to engineering contractor teams and company multi-discipline teams on design and development, issue resolution, and stakeholder alignment. Develop and deliver presentations to stakeholders to get alignment and approval on project issues and challenges. Organize, schedule, facilitate and lead regular coordination and alignment meetings with project groups as necessary. Represent the Civil/Structural engineering discipline in structured reviews and other required project work processes. Provide check, oversight, review, comment and approval of engineering calculations, designs, documents, drawings, specifications, and data sheets.
Mentor less experienced engineers.
