The valued client is seeking a Shop Labourer in Calgary, AB. This is a 6-month contract with extension. Candidates must be local to the area or willing to relocate.

OVERVIEW:

The Shop Labourer is responsible to coordinate and manage the movement of assets, products, and materials. They optimize equipment utilization, selecting the most cost-effective routings and book these shipments. The logistics coordinator also performs business systems transactions.

 

Daily Tasks and responsibilities:
  • Maintain shop equipment and tools in good working condition.
  • Perform activities as assigned by the Supervisors.
  • Perform noninvasive maintenance pertaining to final preparation or disassembly of surface and downhole equipment.
  • Execute work orders with accuracy and completeness.
  • Help prepare and organize documentation for such activities as calibrations, function tests, material certifications, inspections and, if necessary, third-party quality control and inspections.
  • Prepare equipment for shipment and staging at a pre-determined location or loading zone
  • Load outbound equipment onto trucks & offload returning equipment.
  • Monitor shipment execution, track shipment movements, and manage deviations while keep internal stakeholders updated.
  • Ensure business systems are properly maintained, including (but not limited to) executing critical system transactions for asset control, maintenance execution, and quality reporting.
  • Monitor accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of critical business system transactions.
 Minimum Qualifications:
  • Excellent communication, troubleshooting, and organizational skills in both self-sufficient and team environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent acceptable
  • Basic computer literacy including keyboarding skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50lbs regularly
  • Ability to work overtime (nights and weekends) when required.
 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to operate torque machine, overhead crane, forklift, and other related equipment.
