Compliance Tax Accountant / Solihull

Do you have accountancy and tax experience, and are you seeking a new job in Solihull, Birmingham? We are helping a collaborative company recruit a Compliance Tax Accountant in Solihull. The role is for a client in the Oil and Gas industry, however this industry experience is not necessary and training will be provided 

As a flexible Compliance Tax Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing direct tax returns for our client in compliance with the law. The role is based in Solihull but involves (very) occasional visits to Aberdeen as required.

In this Compliance Tax Accountant role, you can expect to:

• Prepare selected corporation tax returns and computations
• Prepare all necessary data, examination of technical issues, computation of tax liability using oil industry specialist software
• File Corporation Tax Returns with HMRC, addressing questions from HMRC
• Prepare non-resident contractor tax returns

To succeed in this Compliance Tax Accountant role, you will need experience in relevant corporate or accountancy firm environment together with an understanding of complex accounting. Other essential requirements include but aren't limited to:

• A professional taxation or accounting qualification with a track record of relevant experience
• Good communication and numeracy skills
• The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Good attention to detail and a desire for precision
