We are recruiting for a Maintenance Planner / Scheduler to be based in the Muscat office.

Requirements:

  • Minimum NVQ or diploma qualification in a suitable technical discipline
  • At least 7 years’ experience in planning and scheduling.
  • Experience with scheduling and planning tools like P6, SAP/Fiori.
  • Good experience in excel and power point
  • Good communication skills.
  • Have a deep understanding of operations and maintenance activity regarding the planning, scheduling and execution of work
  • Lead by example and drive rigorous adherence to all our rules. Set high HSE expectations having demonstrated this in previous roles.
Responsibilities:

  • Builds activities in the functional schedule to the minimum site integration standard as defined in the Tactical Schedule Integration and Optimisation Procedure.
  • Train, coach and support Omani’s new scheduler.
  • Performs nesting of functional activities to optimise equipment downtime.
  • Flags site/area constrained activities and SCW in the functional schedule by 6/12wks and liaises with site integrator on new work that impacts site/area constraints.
  • Manages Site/Area Schedule integration meetings.
  • Performs resource levelling for their functions core technicians in the 12/6/2 weeks’ timeframe (e.g. Maintenance scheduler will resource level Mech, Inst, Elect disciplines).
  • Builds sufficient horizontal buffers between functional activities.
  • Flags the readiness of functional activities as indicated by SPAs in P6 and reschedules activity that does not comply with functional readiness criterial. (i.e. materials delivery).
  • Ensures non-core crew mobilisation data is entered into the regional logistic system.
  • Issues the functional schedule across all time frames.
  • Populates reasons code for functional non-attainment in P6.
  • Facilitates the review of functional execution efficiency performance with functional team leader.
  • Drives continuous improvement in area scheduling performance
  • Reviews scheduling KPI performance with Production leaders and drives improvements in 2-week schedule attainment/stability.
  • Drives consistent use of Primavera usage in the area and supports deployment of changes that impact area scheduling.
  • Resolves any remaining SIMOPS or cross-squads challenges and Production nesting/sheltering opportunities.
