The client, a large Oil & Gas midstream company, is currently seeking a Project Manager (Intermediate) - Measurement Projects to come work out of Calgary AB. This is a long-term contract, with potential for extension, subject to start early June and last until May 31, 2023. The schedule is Mon – Friday, 8 hrs, and 40 hrs weekly. The client currently operates on hybrid office remote work schedule, 3 days office and 2 work from home remote (optional).
DESCRIPTION:
Our client’s Integrity, Expansion & Project Implementation (IEPI) team is seeking Intermediate Project Managers (PM) to manage multiple Pipe Integrity, Facility (Measurement and Compression), Maintenance, Capacity and Expansion projects within their Canada Gas Business Unit.
RESPONSIBLITIES:
- Liaise with internal stakeholder groups to understand a project’s Regulatory and Environmental objectives and determine the necessary scope deliverables, cost, schedule, and quality requirements.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and reporting, while delivering them safely, on time, and on budget
- Identify and mitigate risks, through team engagement, risk registers, and front-end planning
- Maintain regular communication with stakeholder groups and manage expectations
- Oversee project design and facilitate technical reviews to ensure all applicable specifications, codes and legal and regulatory requirements are met
- Liaise with field construction personnel in order to ensure work is executed with an emphasis on safety and quality
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field is preferred
- Technical diploma in a related field of study will also be considered
- Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is considered an asset
- Three or more years of related experience
- Must be able to travel within Canada
- Must have proven project management skills and previous experience successfully executing projects
- Demonstrated strong planning and decision-making ability in a busy and dynamic work environment with the ability to manage, prioritize, and effectively deal with multiple and competing priorities
- Sound interpersonal skills, including conflict resolution, negotiation and leadership
- Customer focused and proven ability to align project objectives with regulatory and commercial drivers
- Commitment to health, safety, environment and quality
- Strong team orientation, demonstrating a high level of cooperation and sharing of ideas
- Have and maintain a valid driver's license and provide a driver's abstract (record) for review
