Job Summary:
Handling and running the monthly payroll process considering social security and income tax to be in line with KRG regulations and instructions (Erbil & Dahuk) and any other company locations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collecting and verifying timesheets (Checking Leaves).
• Entering employee information and payroll data into the system.
• Answering employees' questions and concerns regarding payroll.
• Calculating payable days/Hours, Allowances, bonuses, taxes, and deductions.
• Processing new employees, promotions, and terminations (Final settlement).
• Maintaining and updating payroll records.
• Preparing monthly payroll reports including social and security and personal income tax.
• Maintain payroll system on daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
• Reflect daily/weekly/monthly clocking in/out report on staff payroll.
• Undertaking payroll audits.
• Preparing and submitting updated monthly social security reports to KRG (Erbil and Dahuk) * Ability to travel to Dahuk..
• Preparing and submitting updated quarterly income tax reports to KRG.
• Coordinate with the Gov Liaison Officer that expat SS are filed properly.
• Issuing and delivering payslips to employees.
•Investigating and resolving payroll discrepancies.
Required Qualification;
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• Degree in Accounting/HR or related field preferred.
• 3-5 years’ experience in a payroll.
• Knowledge of payroll software is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Good math and communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
