Role: HSE Coach & Supervisor

Rate: Competitive
Duration: 7 months with possible extension
Rotation: 2 weeks on / 3 weeks off

SCOPE OF WORK
• Organizes and conducts monitoring programs to assess and report on the status of all HSE Issues.
• Provides advice and assistance to offshore leadership team on all aspects of HSE concerning the scope of work to ensure that relevant health and safety legislation, company health and safety standards and industry practices are complied with.
• Advise on the monitoring of all work activities on the sites, advise task supervisors on necessary risk control measures.
• Verifies that risks have been identified and appropriate mitigations are implemented.
• Support site management in the investigation, recording and reporting of all incidents to identify causes and provide recommendations to prevent recurrence. Encourage to record all incidents and support analysis.
• Carry out permit to work and site compliance monitoring audits, assist and coach others.
• Promote a positive health, safety, and environmental culture at all levels of activities including those of contractors by developing and assisting Line Managers and Supervisors in the implementation of safety awareness programs. Report the effectiveness of such programs by conducting monitoring and auditing.
• Provide HSE coaching and training where needed in the offshore organization.
• Ensure adequate and fit for purpose emergency response & lifesaving equipment is in place – enabling expected function and preparedness to an emergency or crisis situation.
• Responsible for HSE performance monitoring as well as providing a true and fair picture of the HSE related risks, challenges, and mitigations in place.
• Support and where necessary facilitate offshore risk assessments related to HSE and providing HSE related training and coaching of personnel and vendors ensuring e.g. creation of good quality task risk assessments and toolbox talk quality.
• First point of contact on HSE related risks & challenges.
• Support and assure appropriate induction of personnel.
• Assisting incident investigations ensuring an objective outcome.
• Be visible on the work site and ensure that controls in permit to work and task risk assessment are applied.
• Provide continuous and timely input on behavioural performance of personnel.
BACKGROUND/QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCE
• Minimum 5 years of experience in oil and gas industry.
• Strong HSE knowledge and experience.
• Experience of participation in audits and incident investigations.
• Strong analytical, problem solving, oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Specific skills: Confident, visible leader, good communication, influence, rigor, un-complacency, impeachability.
• Ability to work under limited supervision and function.
• Good presentation skills.
• Must have the ability to connect with people and provide coaching.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English. Danish is a strong advantage and preferred.

- Participation in required courses must be expected during the home period.
