The client has a current vacancy for an experienced Financial Accounting Supervisor to work at our Teesside Operations. Reporting to the Finance and Procurement Manager, the candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting operations of the business whilst ensuring compliance with all accounting standards and legislation. Also, to disseminate quality financial information on a timely basis to all Teesside operations stakeholders to facilitate decision making at all levels of the organisation.

- Financial Management and Business Support.
- Manage the finance/accounting team.
- Responsible for ensuring compliance with corporate and legislative requirements and that the appropriate levels of financial control are in place.
- Manage all finance and accounting activities including month-end and year-end close.
- Lead the preparation and co-ordination of operating company and annual budgets.
- Generate monthly cost reporting to the Teesside Management Team and their direct reports.
- Coordinate the preparation of the operating company and annual statutory financial statements.
- Manage the preparation for quarterly budget reports for operating company.
- Accountable for direct and indirect tax compliance and quarterly payments.
- Audit coordinator for both owner, third-party and statutory audits.
- Coordinate quarterly dividend payments and monthly cash calls.
- Prepare monthly accruals, balance sheet reconciliations and shipper tariffs.
- Responsible to produce cash flow and loan forecasts for Treasury group.
- Promote financial understanding in the organisation.
- Ensure that the Operator follows all finance processes within the Teesside Construction and Operating agreements across all equity companies.
Competency Requirements
- Accounting, finance or business degree – Essential
- Chartered membership of a UK professional accounting body – Essential
- Working knowledge of UK corporation tax and VAT – Essential
- Experience of leading and developing a team - Essential
- Knowledge and confidence to discuss issues and opportunities with technical and functional groups - Essential
- Experience in the oil and gas industry or similar – Essential
- Hold a full UK driving licence and drive company vehicles where appropriate – Essential
- Demonstrate effective interpersonal & communication skills – Essential
- Ability to use Microsoft packages and SAP – Essential
- Appropriate physical and mental capability to undertake the role – Essential
