Contract: Pipeline Technician / Prince George

The valued client, a large Oil & Energy company are seeking a CP Pipeline Technician to join their team in Prince George BC on a long term contract basis.  Are you an experienced Pipeliner looking for a new challenge? This temporary position will be responsible for providing General pipeline duties and maintenance, including being responsible for the servicing, reliability and integrity of the Pipeline and/or Field Services Systems.

 

What you will do

• Responsible for the servicing, reliability and integrity of the Pipeline and/or Field Services Systems.
• General pipeline duties and maintenance.
• Be capable of working all Unifor 4960 shift.
• Perform maintenance/operations activities and housekeeping.

  Who you are

You have the following qualifications and skills:

Required:

• NACE CP 1 Tester certificate (NACE CP 2 – if available)
• Enform/Energy Safety Canada rectifier training
• 1-3 years CP survey experience on transmission or gathering pipeline systems
• 5 years CP survey experience on transmission or gathering pipeline systems
• 1-3 years CP construction experience installing anode beds, cabling, etc. and performing commissioning activities
• PCS database experience
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

Preferred:

• Experience with Corrosion integrity digs on hot lines.
• 5+ Years of Ground Disturbance Level Two.
• Line Locating Certification.
• NDE Inspector Experience.
• SWP Permit training.
• Knowledge of the clients SOP’s.
