Contract: HSE Advisor I / Alberta

The valued client, a large Oil & Gas client are seeking an HSE Advisor I on a long term contract basis in Leismer, AB.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular walkthroughs and spot audits of work sites; non-conformance will be handled by the safety advisor in a coaching and mentoring way.
• Participate in the quarterly area inspection program with leadership and JWHSC.
• Participate as a member of the joint workplace health and safety committee.
• Assist in incident investigations if requested by any of the work groups
• Maintain safety notice boards around the CPF with updates for health and safety committee minutes, information alerts, and safety bulletins.
• Provide pro-active initiatives to the site Health and Safety group.
• Participate in planned work safety preparations.
• Attend daily permit review meetings and provide safety and emergency response support during planning of activities and work scope.
• Complete or facilitate maintenance of the site safety equipment and PPE.
• Plan and participate in drills and training exercises at the Leismer Lodge, CPF site, and surrounding areas as required to meet AOC corporate obligations and maintain readiness for the site incident command system and ER Team

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in Safety, preferably in production operations
• Hold a valid Alberta Class 5 (or better) driver’s license
• Hold a NCSO, CRST or CRSP designation
• Competent MS Office suite user
• Emergency response and rescue training an asset
• Project experience an asset

 

Note: This is a shift position, (12) hours per day, 7-on 7-off and is on-call when on shift.
