Education: Bachelor of Science in engineering degree from a major university required – Mechanical, Nuclear, or Oil & Gas preferred
Work experience: 7+ years in similar position
Language skills: Kazakh, Russian, English – Level 4 and higher
PC knowledge and skills: MS Office Advanced user Must be a citizen of the Republic of Kazakhstan
English Skills: Upper Intermediate to Advanced, written and verbal - Position requires frequent communication with English speaking co-workers, stakeholders, and external resources
Must know:
• Legislative and other regulatory legal instruments of the Republic of Kazakhstan as applicable to the position and assigned job duties (i.e. laws, regulations, provisions, directives, standards, and technical specifications)
• Work specs for rotating equipment, turbogenerators, and compressors
• Main Mechanical Equipment types knowledge of content and principal action, and methods of operation tests mechanical equipment and aggregates
• Basic vibro-diagnostics and troubleshooting methods of mechanical equipment Operation Excellence system
• Capital Stewardship Organizational Capability system and its key tools
Experience with rotating machinery (pumps, compressors, turbines) preferred. Ability to read and interpret technical documentation (manuals, datasheets, PIDs, etc.). Experience with process trending tools. Uses engineering knowledge and available resources to investigate, analyze, and resolve machinery reliability issues. Strong troubleshooting skills.
Provide input into:
• the design of the mechanical/rotating equipment: gas turbines - GE Frame 9; centrifugal compressors and pumps; 20-50 MW electric motors; mechanical seals; seal gas systems; lube oil systems; reciprocating compressors; pumps; general machinery;
• RAM; RCM studies and ECA processes.
• and automation systems: process control; ESD, fire & gas
• Participate FAT on the Suppliers Facilities of the mechanical equipment including mechanical seals, OH Cranes and motors
• Participate in process safety management studies, e.g.
HAZOPS,
iHAZID,
QRA;
Review applicable safe work practices for new facilities;
isolation and release of equipment for maintenance.

emergency response/operations, mechanical integrity,
Management of Change process,
pre-start up reviews, pre- commissioning, commissioning, start-up operations,
operations assurance roadmap and focus items.
• Support transition of project to Operations Manager;
• provide input into Operations Phase 5 staffing requirements and development timeframe:
• provide input into infrastructure required in Phase 5 for operations staff;
• provide input into Phase 5 work process changes with the addition of FGP operations
• Support development of staffing, nationalization, and competency development plans for FGP Maintenance personnel
• Works across department boundaries to investigate, analyze, and resolve machinery reliability issues including process/operations startup solutions, maintenance/procedural solutions, and physical redesign/improvement solutions
• Provides engineering expertise for startup scoping, applying, designing, commissioning, operating, and maintaining rotating machinery.
• Scope covers all production operations facilities which includes electric-motor, steam-turbine, and fired-turbine driven machinery.
• Supports continuous improvement of rotating equipment reliability, efficiency, and operability
