Location: Tengiz 28/28
• Responsible to lead the Equipment Technical Inspection Group in Tengiz, guide, advise, train and generally assist Junior members of the team
• Reports to RA Passports & Registration Supervisor on plans, activities and achievements, and implements execution of group activities as directed by Supervisor
• Responsible to facilitate eventual registration of hazardous equipment and therefore to ensure that technical inspections and tests of equipment carried out are acceptable for registration
• Shall have own scope and a primary activity within this scope is to analyze hazardous equipment specs, establish RoK requirements in relation to technical inspections and individual tests
• Shall develop plans for technical inspections and mechanical tests of hazardous equipment, undertake organizational preparations required by RoK industrial safety regulations and act as a RA focal point in performing of inspections and tests.
• Shall be experienced in preparation and conducting of technical inspections, hydrotests/ load tests of hazardous equipment and a specialist in industrial safety requirements and passports for at least one type of hazardous equipment
• Ensuring that all equipment across the Project requiring a mandatory format passport, either for internal registration or registration with DIS are correctly identified and technical passports are compiled for them
• Assist RA Passports & Registration Supervisor in setting up and maintaining processes, procedures, tracking and reporting tools relevant to equipment passports and registration
• Development of strategies, plans, schedules, procedures as directed by Supervisor and provide advice and recommendations regarding equipment passports and registration
• Plan, organize and implement processes for equipment passports and registration
• Expediting of technical passports from suppliers and contractors
• Coordination with suppliers, contractors, and Interfacing with Procurement and Engineering to obtain required information to ensure all technical passports are filled in correctly
• Provide support, advice and suggestions to Supervisor as requested to ensure smooth running of passports process
• Support Passports team in general as required
• Participate in progress meetings with Contractors and Suppliers to expedite the timely completion of the passports process
• Provide input to weekly and monthly reports
• Willing to travel to other countries and to sites as and when required for progress and organizational meetings
Shall be educated to degree level in a technical discipline. Either previous experience in technical passport compilation on a major oil and gas project or previous experience in equipment technical inspection role (pressurized equipment, boilers, pressure vessels etc.), preferably as supervisor or higher. Must have good English skills or be willing to learn English. Leadership skills including tactfulness when dealing with internal and external issues required. Proactive, responsible, person with a keen attention to detail, and flexibility to adjust approach during execution of activities, as well as multitask, whilst maintaining priorities.
