Are you looking for a contractor job as an electrical engineer?
This company started about 12 years ago to develop and commercialise new technologies and innovations for the oil and gas industry.
They currently consist of four companies operating worldwide, each of which is a stand-alone entity with unique technologies backed by very strong intellectual property positions. Even in today's challenging business environment, R&D efforts continue and now include several collaborations with major oil and gas companies.
Your responsibilities as an electrical engineer:
- Working in an engineering team to develop and test downhole tools and associated electrical and electronic systems, working closely with mechanical and software engineering disciplines.
- Technical work including: electronics design with analogue and digital circuits, power control and distribution, and signal and communication systems.
- Diagnose electrical and/or electronic faults in downhole tools and other instruments.
- Assist and advise on maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs/replacements of downhole tools and associated systems.
- Analytical examination, including troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of other electrical and/or electronic systems.
- Possibly develop, test and debug firmware for microprocessor/microcontrollers.
- Evaluate, select and apply (new) electronic solutions, procedures and criteria.
- Developing specifications, performing R&D and prototyping/experimenting, doing research and writing technical reports.
- Work with existing assets (such as CAD, PDM, ERP).
Who are they looking for:
- HBO level with more than 5 years of experience in the design or application of electronic systems.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Excellent written and communication skills.
- Preferably knowledge of design criteria to comply with ATEX & IECEx regulations.
- Willing to propose new concepts and learn new ideas.
