Project Development Specialist for Energy Storage / Berlin

The client is one of the fastest growing companies in the European large solar energy market. Their portfolio already includes over 250 solar power projects across Europe, and they are present all over Poland and Italy, Portugal, Spain, the Netherlands and Germany. Due to the dynamic development of the company, they are looking for a Project Development Specialist for Energy Storage to be based in Berlin, Germany. This development role will be specialised in storage projects, and will utilise previous experience of project development of PV or Wind projects that have storage incorporated.

The Main Tasks
Your main tasks include the development, planning and implementation of storage projects:
- Identification and evaluation of project locations
- Negotiation of lease, usage, permit and urban development contracts with property owners and authorities
- Implementation of the entire approval process (preparation of the B-plan, changes to the zoning plan) up to the building permit
- Preparation and independent presentation at municipal council meetings and in front of other bodies
- Processing and preparation of all approval and project documents
- Coordination of the technical implementation planning
- Selection, commissioning and coordination of service providers (e.g. planners, experts)
- Coordination of our external area security and pre-developers
- Creation of project plans as well as the control of the projects with regard to deadline and cost control
- Creation of all necessary documents for participation in the Federal Network Agency's tendering process
- Application for and planning of the grid connection

Their Requirements:
- Several years of professional experience in the project development of PV ground-mounted systems or wind projects with storage incorporated (acquisition, management, planning, approval and implementation)
- Successfully completed studies with an economic, technical, planning or geographical background
- Basic technical and legal understanding as well as enthusiasm for renewable energies
- Communication and negotiation skills as well as a confident demeanour towards the various parties involved, such as property owners, community representatives, authorities and investors
- Ability to react flexibly and quickly to changing problems
- Self-motivated, structured and goal-oriented implementation of projects and measures
- Experience with planning the grid connection / grid inquiries is an advantage
- Experience with the Federal Network Agency's tendering process is an advantage
- Confident handling of MS Office and GIS
- Business fluent German and very good knowledge of English
- Class B driving license and willingness to take regular business trips
