Contract: Mechanical Engineer - Studies / East Perth

We working with one of our Tier 1 Mining Clients in the search for a Mechanical Engineer - Studies, to join their Asset Management and Utilities Study Team in Perth. In this role you will apply your knowledge to long term Mining, Infrastructure and Alternative Energy studies. This role demands a strong focus on teamwork and problem solving.  This will be a Perth based role reporting to the Study Manager working 45 hours a week, Monday to Friday.

Your key accountabilities will include but not be limited to:

• Demonstrate strong safety values and a willingness to be active in enhancing our team’s safety culture
• Assist with the development and delivery of studies
• Develop technical study reports across a range of studies, not limited to area of expertise
• Develop cost estimates and schedules for studies
• Liaison with relevant departments to understand user requirements, and ensure positive stakeholder engagement

Expereince and Qualifications needed:

• Tertiary Qualifications in Mechanical, Electrical or other Mining/Process related Engineering
• Experience in Mining and Fixed Plant Ore Processing
• Experience in Sustainability, specifically energy production, recycling, efficiency.
• Strong conceptual thinking and analytical focus
• Excellent problem-solving skills and continual improvement focus
• Understanding of relevant Mines legislations, regulations, approvals requirements.
• Planning, organisational, scheduling and coordination skills
• Demonstrated track record of problem solving and solution implementation in a multi-discipline, team-based environment
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written
