Job Title: Wind Turbine Commissioning Engineer Country: Japan Duration: 12 Months Employment Type: FreelanceWe support projects across Europe, Asia and USA working with OEMs, EPCs & Sub-Contractors, Service Organisations, & Utility companies.SummeryWind Commissioning Engineers are responsible for initial start-up and operation the manufactures wind turbines. Acting as part of a team to achieve safe and efficient operation following satisfactory turnover from the manufactures designated construction contractor.Job Description.Perform the initial start-up on the turbine. Synchronise turbine to the grid and prepare it for normal operations, work is 80% Electrical, 20% Mechanical.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesVerify that the work is completed in compliance with customer's requirementsDocument all work performedFollow all assigned Environmental, Health and Safety proceduresSupervise the construction of wind turbinesPerform installation inspection of completed turbinesTrouble Shoot Turbine and Fault FindReport policy or procedure violationTroubleshoot mechanical problemsSubmit progress reportsLiaise with internal and external customersPerform other duties as assignedKnowledge, Skills and AbilitiesMust have and able to provide manufacture approved CommissioningOperate tools, equipment, instruments.Mechanical and Electrical troubleshooting.Synchronize turbine to the grid and prepare it for normal operationsMandatory training requirements.Must be proficient in:LOTOPitchConverterDigital SystemsAbility to adapt quickly to a dynamic environment.Strong organisational skills and demonstrated ability to communicate effectively.Motor vehicle operation to and from turbines, shop, and multiple sites.Computer proficient
