We are currently working with a leading pipeline infrastructure contractor who are looking for a Project Administrator on a Fixed Term Contract initially.
You will be joining an excellent contractor who have recently broken into the Victorian market after hugely successful projects in Australia & Asia Pacific over the past 20 years.
Role & Responsibilities
We're looking for a Buyer/Procurement specialist to assist with the delivery of a pipeline project in NW Melbourne by ensuring Quality Cost & Delivery performances meet overall project objectives. You will liaise and negotiate between stakeholders and suppliers.

Role & Responsibilities
We're looking for a Buyer/Procurement specialist to assist with the delivery of a pipeline project in NW Melbourne by ensuring Quality Cost & Delivery performances meet overall project objectives. You will liaise and negotiate between stakeholders and suppliers.
- Providing prices for all required services & materials included in project plans and drawings.
- Work in line with project programme and team to ensure that timely deliveries of materials and contractors is achieved.
- Identifying potential suppliers and new products.
- Contacting a range of suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotations for secured and up and coming project and agree lead in and delivery periods.
- Keeping detailed records and maintaining a well-organised work schedule.
- Issuing of RFI and assessing RFi’s for sub contract works.
- Assessing contract RFI submissions, completing request for Approval and obtain business approval through nominated procurement system
- Managing the PO/Contract raising in procurement system and reviewing invoice submissions to ensure contractor’s work is monitored and signed off.
- Dealing effectively with challenges with suppliers and the flow of materials.
- Ensuring compliance with the safety, health, sustainability and environment requirements of materials supplier and services.
- Become a valued member of the project team and attend all monthly internal project review meetings and helping project to run as efficiently as possible and within budget.
- Providing cost information to Procurement manager to ensure cost is maintained throughout project
- Preparing and maintaining cost reports in order to maximise efficiency within the business; and
- Negotiating and agreeing the most favourable terms possible with suppliers once a contract approval has been secured.
