HSSE Engineer / Aberdeen

The client is currently recruiting for the position of HSSE Engineer, based in Aberdeen.

Responsibilities:
* Develop and maintain HSSE procedures
* Participate in incident investigations, review incident reports and assist in identifying root causes
* Review observation cards and develop internal HSE Alerts
* Maintain and advise on all regulatory compliance requirements
* Participate in HAZIDs, HAZOPs and safety studies
* Recording and reporting of safety and environmental data
* Represent the company with consultants, authorities and clients on HSSE matters when required
* Assist in initiatives towards enhancement and implementation of a proactive Safety Culture
* Oversee Emergency Response Management planning, training and exercises
* Provide cover for Offshore HSE Supt position as required (5th week rotation)

Experience & Qualifications:
* Diploma in Mechanical, Environmental, Technical, Marine or Process Engineering
* Formal qualifications in health and safety management
* Relevant experience may replace formal qualifications
* Relevant experience in the offshore FPSO industry
* Fluent in the English language (oral and written)
* Team player
* Proactive and able to work independently
* Strong communication skills
* Able to deliver high quality work on time
* Able to work in a multidisciplinary, multinational environment
