What you will doWe are looking to grow our team to continue to be able to deliver our exciting project portfolio and pipeline as we expand into new markets and develop our client base. Our objective is to hire people that can provide complementary areas of expertise and consultancy skillsets to our existing team.
We are particularly interested in applicants who can provide technical guidance and supply chain know-how to our clients and to our wider team. Our aim is to find applicants with a good overall understanding of renewable energy development and construction, from a commercial and/or technical standpoint.
Whilst each team member has a technical or market specialism, everyone must also maintain a sound knowledge of and ability to deliver projects right across our team capability set. Our projects are almost always highly interdisciplinary in nature and the ability to coordinate and integrate different specialisms is critical to the success of our team.
At X1 level you would be expected to take a lead role in project delivery as either a Technical Lead and/or as a Project Manager. This will involve leading small technical or supply chain teams to drive forward and complete technical or supply chain based studies. You would be responsible for liaising with our clients to deliver their requirements and lead a project team consisting of a range of senior specialists through to junior consultants or analysts to ensure project objectives are met to the high quality that have come to be known for, to time and on budget.

All the team are also actively involved to varying degrees in business development and team management/operational aspects, such as resource planning, knowledge management, procedures and QA, proposal writing, delivering conference presentations, attending industry events, depending on individual strengths and preferences. We have PM, BD, Ops and Technical tracks available to define different career paths. We also support all-rounders that prefer to be involved in a mix across some or all these areas.
Our team is strongly connected into the other renewables teams and divisions enabling us to offer comprehensive solutions to our clients’ problems, drawing on specialists from structures and subsea, field development, technical safety and risk, energy yield, cables and interconnectors, market insights and advisory among others.

Some typical work scopes that you would be involved in delivering are:
  • Support clients in the development of high level EPCI activities, such as fabrication, load-out and installation tasks and durations
  • Devise costed and effective solutions for offshore installation/construction activities for fixed and floating wind foundations
  • Provide insight into equipment and methods requirements for onshore marshalling and loadout, and offshore installation
  • Assist sister offices in the preparation of technical/commercial proposal content, or other tendering activities
  • Provide insight into suitable supply chain interfaces for tendering opportunities
  • Coordinate multi-discipline teams in the preparation and submission of technical scopes
  • Review client documentation, such as pre-FEED, FEED or EPCI stage technical/operational documents
  • Demonstrate accountability to the client for ensuring completion of technical packages within agreed deadlines, and ensuring technical content is prepared and revised in a timely manner
  • Attend industry conferences, where required, or other business development opportunities, to support the commercial team
