Reservoir Engineer

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Reservoir Engineer with our client a leading international E&P company with significant assets in the UKCS.

The Reservoir Engineer will focus on delivering production from a major UKcs development, and be instrumental in the identification and evaluation of opportunities for the infill well-planning activity 2023-2024 on the asset. The field is a state-of-the-art development that is rich in surveillance data and has demonstrated the potential for value-adding incremental development activity stemming from the analysis of these surveillance data.

This person filling this position will report to the GEAD Lead RE but will also work closely with all disciplines in the Golden Eagle Subsurface team (geology, geophysics, petrophysics, reservoir engineering), Production Engineering, Production Operations, Drilling & Completion Engineering, Intervention Engineering, Development Excellence & Assurance, Planning & Economics, and Decision Analysis. This position is key to achieving one of the client's goals to attenuate the rate of decline for the existing assets and will also help to delay decommissioning of the asset which is currently estimated in 2030.

In this role you will:
* Be responsible for the quality and analysis of reservoir surveillance information that can assist a specific Target definition.
* Undertake the technical evaluation and prepare the business case for future infill wells.
* The development, maintenance, and history matching of fit-for-purpose dynamic reservoir simulation models to support the Business case of Infill wells (local edits only).
* Review Surveillance data to build a data-driven analysis to support Infill drilling opportunities. Integrate the following data:
* Pressure transient analysis for reservoir characterization.
* Utilization of Tracer data information.
* Help with the integration between production and 4D data.
* Evaluate the performance of analogous wells that could influence the risk in different targets.
* Get familiar with the reservoir model workflows and be able to handle effectively and in a timely fashion the ensemble of models, to support the reserves quantification of those infill targets and the creation of profiles required for the economic assessment.
* Provide feedback and recommendation to G&G to improve the understanding of the target area and perform sensitivities.

To be successful in this role you will be
* Post-graduate degree in Petroleum Engineering or related discipline.
* Experience in Reservoir Surveillance
* Experience in Simulation Modelling
* Experience in integrating multidisciplinary data to establish an integrated interpretation of surveillance data
* Strong communication and presentation skills
* Strong analytical skills
* Proficiency with RE software including Saphir, OFM, Prosper, Petrel, Eclipse 100,
* Some knowledge of Python programming will be beneficial.
* Ability to work to short deadlines, delivering timely results without compromising on integrity or detail where appropriate.
* Personal commitment to organizational and technical excellence, coupled with individual drive and initiative

The position is designated inside IR35 and will be offered on a PAYE basis. The role is based in Uxbridge. Candidates should have the right to work independently in the UK.
