Woodside are looking for a Senior Environmental Adviser to join their New Energy Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) Team, for an initial 12 month contract.
Thier New Energy team are investing in new energy products and the lower-carbon services our customers need as they decarbonize. Woodside are progressing opportunities for producing products such as hydrogen and ammonia, with a targeted $5 billion investment in new energy products and lower-carbon services by 2030.
As a New Energy Senior Environment Adviser, you will be responsible for providing environmental guidance and support to the New Energy team, identifying, and implementing key initiatives to continually improve environmental performance in accordance with relevant regulatory requirements.
You will join the team based on the Perth campus which includes facilities such as on-site cafeteria, subsidised gym and pool, multi-faith prayer rooms, ‘chill out’ zones, and amazing views over the city and Swan River.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Providing environmental advice to inform decision making,
- Facilitating the development of State and Federal environmental approvals for New Energy opportunities and developments,
- Engaging and managing environmental consultants/contractors,
- Supporting and guiding junior team members,
- Analyzing technical data and liaising with regulatory agents.
- Degree qualified in an Environmental or related discipline
- 15+ years’ experience in industry/consultant environment roles
- Understanding and experience with Australian environment legislation and application
- Experience in undertaking environment risk/impact assessments and analyzing technical studies
- Supporting stakeholder consultation with relevant Decision-Making Authorities, Traditional Custodians, industry representatives and local communities
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Maintaining a positive, supportive working team environment
