This role will be on a contract basis with the initial scope of 12 months with strong possibility for extension. This will be a FIFO position on a 15/13 roster.
As the HSSE Advisor for operations, you will work closely with operations teams to provide strong on-site presence and champion HSSE leadership to strengthen and maintain a positive and disciplined culture for the client.

As the HSSE Advisor for operations, you will work closely with operations teams to provide strong on-site presence and champion HSSE leadership to strengthen and maintain a positive and disciplined culture for the client.
Job Requirements & Specifics:
- The HSSE Advisor will primarily focus on providing HSSE expertise to crews, coach crews on HSSE aspects of the job and provide safe solutions when issues arise.
- Delivering HSSE support services and coaching in ensure compliance with local State standards and requirements, particularly those associated with the P&G, WHS and DES regulatory bodies and assure controls, drive continuous improvement, and enable delivery of world class health, safety, security and environmental performance
- Conduct and participate in prestarts, toolbox talks and assist & assure conversations
About You:
- 5+ years working in oil and gas industry or equivalent heavy industry experience
- Sound knowledge in the application of HSE legislation, both state and regional, as well as tools and techniques.
- Bachelor or Grad. Diploma or Masters OHS or relevant area. (Desirable)
- Deep commitment to Goal Zero and personal accountability.
- Knowledge of typical risk and controls to manage HSSE
- Relentless drive for simplification and improvement.
