The client is currently looking for a Services Supervisor to join them on a staff basis, mobilising from Aberdeen, on a 2/3 rotation.



ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


BASIC PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

Responsible for the management, coordination, prioritisation, and safe execution of all services activities on the installation

Responsible for materials management and multi skilled services delivery in support of the asset business plan within the prescribed budget

As a member of the platform management team the Services Supervisor has a key role in the delivery of platform targets for HSSEQ, lifting/rigging, logistics, stores handling, scaffolding and vendor maintenance delivery working closely with peers, in particular the Production and Maintenance Supervisors

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

HSSEQ

  • Responsible for the planning and supervision of specific work-scopes. Ensuring that the requirements of the Client Control of Work (ISSOW) system are fully complied with by self, the services team and all those performing work activity in the areas of their responsibility.
  • Responsible for review and verification of all WCCs in their area of responsibility.
  • To demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the specific signatory roles and responsibilities defined in ISSOW (such as Performing Authority, Area Authority Delegate, and Department Head) and accept the responsibilities when acting in such role.
  • Ensures all team members accountable to them performs task risk assessments using Toolbox Talk (Dynamic Risk Review), level 1 and level 2 techniques ensuring residual risk is As Low As Reasonably Practicable (ALARP).
  • Ensure level 2 TRA is conducted with PA and relevant AAD in the team.
  • Perform ISSOW audits as directed by the asset HSE plan and ensure that SMART actions are raised and completed.
  • Demonstrate personal leadership and exemplary safety behaviours at all times ensuring that Client and Site safety expectations are communicated and maintained.
  • Demonstrates strong leadership in relation to HSSE, ensures the highest HSSE standards are maintained, acts as a focal point for HSE visits/inspections where relevant, leads safety meetings, attends HAZIDS, ensures HSSE auditing and reporting requirements are met, undertakes risk assessments, openly supports HSSE initiatives and processes, etc.
  • Ensure compliance with key policies and procedures by completing all assigned actions detailed in the offshore HSE plan.
  • Lead hazard analysis and incident investigation as requested by the OIM.
  • Has awareness of the platforms major risks and ongoing operational risks. Utilises Client Management system (TAMS) to input new risks and actions as they arise.
  • Ensures relevant procedures within TMS are adhered to.
  • Ensure environmental risk is considered and mitigated when work is being planned and executed.
  • Fulfil an Emergency Response Role as per the Asset Emergency Response Plan
Role

  • As a member of the platform management team, works closely with the OIM, Production and Maintenance Supervisors and onshore operations/maintenance teams to plan and deliver services for short and long-term platform activities and eliminate potential worksite conflicts
  • Accountable for all Marine, Helicopter, Rigging, Scaffolding, Deck and Lifting Operations on the asset
  • Manage ad-hoc services resources as a direct consequence of activity changes and business needs e.g Shut downs, well services, engineering, inspection and project scopes.
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with the Union Customs Code legislation with regards to back loaded materials
  • Accountable for the management of all materials / stores activities ensuring effective material handling, offloading, distribution, manifesting, dangerous goods and back loading.
  • Responsible for store and inventory accuracy extending to stock checking and audits with a focus on reducing offshore held stock to optimise space and ‘just in time’ delivery.
  • Platform custodian of repairs process, working closely with onshore repairs coordinator
  • Accountable for ensuring reordering of fuel, oils, water, and chemicals are effectively managed and bunkering and vessel operations are optimised and planned to meet activity demands.
  • Accountable for the management of all maintenance and engineering hired/rental/owned equipment. This extends to ordering, tracking, calibration, repair, and inspection/recertification of the equipment ensuring compliance with relevant standards and legislation requirements and the process is managed effectively.
  • Responsible for the platforms waste segregation and management thereof.
  • Set clear objectives and clarify the priorities, plans and procedures for the services team
  • Contribute to the budget planning process and take an active role in the management of services costs.
  • Responsible for ensuring the multi skilled services team are optimised to support the execution of maintenance activities from the asset 28 day plan
  • Ensures the activities of the team are undertaken in strict compliance with Company standards and procedures and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Carry out regular work site visits to monitor safety performance and work progress
  • Ensure work history is comprehensively recorded in line with Maximo data quality requirements.  Identify, document and communicate all follow up work and material requirements or other relevant data.
  • Provide support and training to other team members to enhance and promote multi skilled working
  • Carry out emergency response duties where necessary
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with training matrix / TTLC to meet services execution expectations and participate in formal competency assessments where appropriate.
  • Conduct and oversee performance appraisal and mid-year appraisal process of all direct reports ensuring that the correct expectations, behaviours and quality performance elements are being addressed.
  • Coach and develop all direct reports, where appropriate, and ensure succession planning is effectively managed.
  • Working closely with onshore maintenance team, identify opportunities to maximise and improve efficiencies in service provision through continuous improvement.
  • Co-ordinate and work with the installation’s Independent Competent Person (“ICP”) to develop plans to resolve services performance standard failures (LOLER and Crane operations).
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

QUALIFICATIONS/TRAINING

Essential

  • All Client standard offshore pre-employment requirements (BOSIET, MIST etc)
  • OPITO Banksman slinging – stage 3-4
  • WAH unit 7
  • Oil Spill Management
  • Waste awareness 
  • LOLER Awareness
  • Dangerous goods combined certificate
  • COSHH Assessors
  • VHF CAA Radio licence
Preferred

  • NVQ/HNC in a relevant discipline
  • VHF CAA Radio licence
  • HLO
EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS

Essential

  • Proven track record of successfully leading/managing multi-discipline technical teams within the upstream Oil & Gas production or petrochemical industry
  • Good understanding of maintenance and engineering execution processes
  • Knowledge of the Safety Case Verification process, Safety Critical Elements, Written Schemes and Performance Standards
  • Proven track record of Safety Leadership
  • Ability to lead by example, develop constructive working relationships across discipline teams and encourage open communication - vertically and horizontal
  • Comprehensive understanding of Risk Assessment techniques and tools
  • Proven ability to act as an effective agent for change with a natural ability to overcome resistance and conflict resolution.
Preferred

  • Experience of working in an Operator environment and in mature asset operations
  • Preferred experience in managing services teams (rigging, lifting, scaffolding, materials, helideck and materials)
  • Specialist knowledge and experience of customs compliance
