We are looking for a Research Engineer based in the UK to join this growing team.
You will be contributing to maintaining and delivering the RD&I portfolio on technology development, emerging technology and solutions for carbon capture processes, heat integration and CO2 handling.
For this role the main responsibilities include:

Education Required: MSc and PhD within Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics or similar
Experience: 3 years minimum

We are looking for a Research Engineer based in the UK to join this growing team.
You will be contributing to maintaining and delivering the RD&I portfolio on technology development, emerging technology and solutions for carbon capture processes, heat integration and CO2 handling.
For this role the main responsibilities include:
- Contributing to technology strategy through analysis on critical and high–profile initiatives with carbon capture, handling, transport, and storage technologies
- Assistance in the planning and completion of the RD&I projects including multiple stakeholders
- Contributing to the delivery of results to the RD&I portfolio
- Contributing to the completion of the research addenda
- Providing relevant technology assessments applying scientific and engineering principles to leadership.
- Ensuring up-to-date information on emerging technologies
- Developing partnerships with research organisations, start-up organisations and technology providers in the UK
- Identifying UK financial possibilities
- Identifying assess to patentable inventions
A successful candidate will possess the following knowledge:
- Experience with process technology and chemical process systems
- Ability to assess existing and emerging technologies and technology developments
- Experience from mass and heat simulation modelling and software like HYSYS or Unisim
- Good understanding of technology development and qualifications
- Strong and proven analytical skills and mindset
- Ability to exercise firm judgement in making critical decisions
- Demonstrated ability to analyse issues and develop improvement recommendations
- Knowledge of carbon capture, utilisation, and storage technologies (is an advantage)
- Experience from project management and execution and industrial implementation (is an advantage)
- Experience in delivering RD&I projects in industries such as: gas treatment, hydrogen, power to fuel and/or cryogenics (is an advantage)
