The client a leading resources company within the Western Australian mining industry is currently seeking a Principal Engineer – Mechanical to join their Projects Team for an initial 12 month contract.
 
Perth CBD Based | 5:2 roster
Ad hoc site visits required

Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Provide technical support across civil, port and mine projects at all stages from concept to design to deliver.  
  • Provide SME input into the scope of works as well as the basis of design works.
  • Deliver projects in line with the basis of design, budget and on schedule
  • Proactively engage with contractors and provide guidance on the on technical queries and information requests.
  • Support tender submissions and communicate foreseeable scheduling issues and assist with problem solving. 
  • Provide technical governance by reviewing design deliverables and ensuring compliance's to the Australian Standards.
Key Skills and Experience Required:
  • Mechanical Engineering Degree Qualified (CPENG MIEAust)
  • 10+  Years experience in the Mining industry across the mining, materials handling an NPI Projects
  • Previous experience collaborating with owner /operators 
  • Previous experience working on projects with the value >$200Million
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Outlook, Excel & Project. 
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills including the ability to meet deadlines. 
  • Ability to communicate with personnel at all levels and manage relationships with external suppliers & clients.
