Mining Superintendent

Immediate requirement for mining Superintendent to work in PNG. The role presents an opportunity to work with a large global mining operator on a long-term ongoing contract with great working conditions and a high day rate.

Reporting into the mining manager your role will be to be providing a key role in the function of a global Tier 1 Mining project, the role will include but not be limited to:  

Developing mining schedules., Undertaking mine design and modelling, reviewing data, evaluating, and implementing systems to improve the mine planning process, undertaking pit design, undertaking mine scheduling, Haulage route analysis, Equipment selection, Measuring and reconciling model input parameters against actual performance

The role will be offered on a flexible FIFO roster:

Technical Capabilities:

• 4+ years in a mining superintendent on a hard rock open pit mining operation
• Tertiary qualification in mining engineering or relevant area
• Track record of delivering above mining KPI’s on major projects in remote mine site settings  
• 10 + Years mining experience
• Sound planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage in a cross-cultural environment  
• Excellent attention to detail and time management skills to meet deadlines.
• Experience in PNG preferred but not essential
