The client is a proud Western Australian organisation. They provide a broad range of innovative engineering products and solutions to improve the safety and efficiency of key equipment utilised on mine sites locally in WA and nationally. Following exciting growth plans, they are now seeking a Business Development Lead to join their team in Perth.
As Business Development Manager, you will report directly into the Director of Business Development and be responsible for developing new business with tier 1 mining organisations and EPCMs in Perth. You will work utilise your existing network in this space to generate leads and close sales. This role will see you liaise with multiple stakeholders across the sales cycle including Engineering Managers, Maintenance Managers, and procurement. Key responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
• Develop new business within Tier 1 & 2 mining organisations
• Manage your clients through the sales cycle
• Work closely with your local sales team to identify new opportunities and trends
• 70% New business development vs 30% Account management
• Site visits when required
Qualifications/ Knowledge and skill
This is an important hire to support the growth of their Western Australian business. You will ideally have mining experience, with an established network. Specific product knowledge is not essential, we are seeking a driven, motivated individual who can open doors and develop new business.
• Ability to identify pain points for clients, present solutions and close the deals.
• Excellent communication skills
• Commercially astute
• Driven and proactive
• Mining background
• Able to work autonomously to secure personal and business objectives
